Is your dryer's transition hose up to code?

The transition hose is the vent that connects the back of your dryer to the wall behind your dryer.  The transition hose is typically some sort of a slinky type hose that will flex.  A transition hose that is within code will be made of metal, typically aluminum.  If your transition hose is made of plastic, nylon, or some other non-metal, then your transition hose may not be up to code, and is at risk of contributing to a dryer fire.  Some aluminum transition hoses have too much flex, which can lead to the hose folding up and blocking air flow.

Vent-tastic carries and installs a brand of transition hose that is crush resistant and fire resistant.  Vent-tastic dryer vent cleaning includes a free inspection of your transition hose and will recommend replacement if required.
